Specific duties and responsibilities
1. Develops production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity
2. Analyzes, plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
3. Identify material constraints, and coordinate and expedite their resolution with responsible parties
4. Coordinate the efforts of cross functional groups and across shifts to resolve bottlenecks, parts shortages, machine maintenance, manpower issues, and shop capacity
5. Reschedule workload within the framework of customer requirements and work center capacity to resolve constraints when applicable
6. Communicate and coordinate with production supervisors to ensure schedule adherence
7. Provide workload visibility to manufacturing
8. Ensure on time delivery of customer orders by monitoring and updating work order schedules for validity and accuracy
9. Work effectively with management and cross functional areas (Quality, Customer Service, Maintenance, Operations and Sales)
10. Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total cost.
Specialized knowledge and skills
1. Ability to plan from raw material through finished product
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel. Prior SAP experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of MRP system is desired, SAP and Trend applications preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English
5. Associate’s degree with Bachelor’s degree preferred in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline
6. Prior experience with assembly line, scheduling, knowledge of multi-level bills of material and production planning experience in manufacturing preferred
